Extension Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

This policy describes how the PricePulse Chrome Extension handles your data. We built this extension to be privacy-first: it collects the minimum data needed to work.

What we collect

Anonymized usage events (no sign-in required). When you visit a supported pricing page, use the popup, or interact with the in-page card, the extension sends a small event record to our server. Each event contains only:

We never collect the full URL you visited, your browsing history, or any personal identifiers from anonymous events.

Account data (optional sign-in). If you choose to sign in with a magic link, we store your email address and a session token in chrome.storage.local. This lets us sync your tracked pages to our server and send you email alerts when a pricing page changes. You can sign out and delete this data at any time from the popup.

Watchlist (local + sync). Your popup watchlist (the list of tools you bookmark) is stored in chrome.storage.sync — this means Chrome may sync it across your devices. We do not transmit the watchlist contents to our servers except when polling for price changes, at which point we only send the tool slugs.

What we do NOT collect

Third parties

Events are sent to https://moatstack.polsia.app, which is operated by MoatStack. We do not share telemetry data with any third-party analytics or advertising services.

Data retention

Anonymous event data is retained for up to 90 days. Account data is retained until you delete your account. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Permissions used

Your rights

You can uninstall the extension at any time to stop all data collection. To delete your account data, sign in at moatstack.polsia.app/price-pulse and delete your account, or email us.
